John Kopcheff

John is a geologist and geophysicist, with over 45 years of experience in Australia, South East Asia, USA, South America and the North Sea, in oil field operations and management.

Mr Kopcheff founded Victoria Petroleum Ltd (now Senex Energy Ltd) and held the position of Managing Director for 26 years from August 1984 until late July 2010 pioneering oil exploration and production success on the western margin of the South Australian Cooper Basin.

During that time Victoria Petroleum Ltd increased its market cap from $10M at float to $116M at his retirement.

Mr Kopcheff joined Winchester Energy as Non-Executive Chairman in September 2017.

Managing Director
Neville Henry

Geologist based in Houston, Texas with 40 years in the worldwide oil and gas industry. He has directly led oil exploration teams responsible for oil and gas discoveries across 6 basins and over 4 countries for total discovered reserves of more than 4 billion barrels of oil. Worked for Anadarko for 12 years most notably as International Exploration Manager and Worldwide Business Development Manager and was part of the core team that built this non-US oil production business from 25,000 bopd to 400,000 bopd.

Larry Cheng Kang Liu

Mr. LIU, obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering from Southeast University, China and a MBA from a joint program between APESMA & Deakin University, Australia. Mr. LIU joined General Electric in 1997 from Contact Energy New Zealand, and served as the various Asia Pacific leadership positions, including sourcing leader, six-sigma master black belt, and energy services sales director. He was the general manager of South China, HK & Macau for GE Consumer & Industrial before he joined his family business in 2008 and later he devoted mostly to his investment practice. Mr. LIU has extensive knowledge of Asia Pacific region. He brings rich experience in various management areas including sourcing, people development and management process improvement.

Chief Financial Officer
Hugh Idstein

Hugh Idstein is a senior financial executive with extensive experience in the energy industry. He has served as CFO for several E & P companies both private and public in Houston and Dallas. He has in-depth experience and knowledge in all aspects of the financial and accounting functions in the exploration business and was responsible for IT, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Risk Management and Strategic Planning. Hugh has a reputation as a dedicated, creative and flexible thinker who can quickly grasp the big picture and align all levels of management. Hugh holds an MBA from Eastern Illinois University, a Bachelor’s in Energy Management from Eastern Illinois University and has completed Management Programs at Thunderbird University, Wharton School of Business and Harvard Business School.areas including sourcing, people development and management process improvement.

Mr Flint, BAcc, FINSIA and MBA is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience in the corporate and financial services arena. He has held a number of management and senior administrative positions as well as providing corporate advisory services as a consultant to corporate clients.
